The Great American Mural is a celebration of and dedication to the sacrifice of America’s every day heroes.  The goal through this tribute is to inspire those who visit the mural to serve and appreciate their fellow man. Created by the renowned panoramic artist Chris Opp in the Spring of 2017, the mural takes its place in mural creations in cities across America. It is a stunning piece of Americana – patriotic eye-candy for locals, visitors and tourists alike. It features local Waskom, Texas heroes, along with those first responders and military personnel who sacrifice each day to support the welfare of our people and communities.
