Building Sustainable Communities with Art

Chris Opp is more than an Artist and definitely more than a Painter. He is a visionary. His skill of using color and images to transform communities into vibrant active locations bolsters economic growth and sustainability. Cities in Northwest Louisiana and East Texas are embracing the art of the Artistic Shark to do just that. One project by Opp Art inspires many more as businesses begin to understand how art tells the story of their mission to serve their community.

The new and existing businesses in the burgeoning East Bank District of Bossier City, Louisiana have grabbed onto the philosophy above and are engaging Chris Opp in the development, branding and process of identifying who they are, not only as individual businesses, but as a community. This is a story that has only just begun and will continue to grow.

Chris designed the East Bank District 72 Logo to include the Blue Star Memorial Highway, a tribute to the Armed Forces as shown on signage along Highway 72, sponsored by the Bossier Garden Club.

Businesses in the East Bank District that have hired the Artistic Shark so far include the Bossier Arts Council, Flying Heart Brewing, BeauxJax’s Craft House, Retro 521 Coffee-Café-Venue, Southern Belle Ice Cream Parlor & Grill. Several other projects are already in the works and will be added as they are completed. Visit this page for updates soon.
