Shreveport Regional Arts Council held a competition for an artist to design the desk for their entrance lobby for the grand opening of the Central Art Station (a renovated historic fire station) in downtown Shreveport, Louisiana. Chris’s design won “Best Design” and his desk is a focal piece inside the entrance to the building. The desk has two tiers with multi-functionality. It is oak wood that has been died red with a steel facade.
The director also commissioned Chris to create a uniquely designed table for the conference area in her office. Chris built a fabulously interesting table covered in postcards under a heavy resin coating.
